Overview
ACFN needed a high-trust website to explain a franchise model most people have never considered, convert interest into qualified leads, and let the marketing team manage pages and campaigns without developer intervention.
Problem
What was actually wrong.
The business had a strong offer but no clear digital presence that could explain the value, build credibility and capture leads consistently across devices. The team needed a branded, scalable site that could turn interest into serious enquiries without a manual process.
Goals
- Explain the ATM franchise opportunity clearly and credibly
- Capture lead enquiries through a structured funnel
- Let the marketing team own content without involving developers
- Show proof through brand film, design gallery and franchisee stories
Solution
The approach taken.
I built a modern Next.js website and custom CMS that combines editorial marketing content, a multi-step lead funnel, interactive visual storytelling and a live content-editing experience. The public site educates and converts, while the ACFN Studio gives the internal team full control over pages, media and leads.
Architecture
Editorial marketing layer
The homepage and landing pages are built as structured editorial content, with modules for hero sections, brand film, ATM gallery, franchisee stories, FAQ and conversion CTAs.
Lead conversion funnel
Visitors move through a multi-step process that progressively captures ZIP code, email, phone and name. Progress is saved along the way and the data is routed into the CRM and sales workflow.
CMS studio
The admin experience lets the marketing team edit page structure, content blocks, media, settings and lead records from a preview-based editing environment with live device previews and publish controls.
Trust and compliance layer
The project includes privacy, compliance and disclosure pages, and the experience is optimised for accessibility, motion preferences and responsiveness.

Key features
Interactive franchise storytelling
The homepage combines a hero, brand film, ATM gallery, franchisee stories, key stats and conversion touchpoints into one coherent marketing narrative.
Check My Area funnel
The lead capture experience saves progress at every stage and routes the completed submission to the sales team and CRM.
Brand film with autoplay handling
The video plays when in view, respects browser autoplay limits and includes captions and a sound toggle for accessibility and user control.
Admin content studio
A visual editing experience allows the internal team to publish, preview, revise and manage sections and media without a developer workflow.
Compliance and trust pages
Privacy, cookie preferences, Do Not Sell My Info, terms and franchise disclosures are all included to support real-world compliance and customer trust.
Process
Research
Studied the franchise offer, customer journey and the kind of trust signals a prospective owner would need before taking action.
Design
Turned the story into a structured marketing site with a clearer narrative: explain the business, show the proof, then convert interest into a lead.
Build
Implemented the marketing site and the admin studio together so content, conversion flow and internal workflow all evolved around the same product goals.
Operate
Built the CMS so the team could update content and manage leads without depending on engineering for every change.

Challenges
What went wrong first.
Making an unfamiliar business legible
The product had to explain a niche franchise proposition in an engaging way, so the site needed strong storytelling, real proof points and a clear conversion path.
Lead quality and conversion
The funnel needed to collect serious enquiries without friction. Progressive capture and a simple, well-structured flow helped maintain trust while improving data quality.
Client-owned editing
The internal team needed to publish and update content without engineering support, so the admin system had to be both flexible and clear enough to use without documentation.
Learnings
- When the offer is unfamiliar, clarity and trust matter more than cleverness.
- A marketing site works best when the conversion funnel and the brand story are built as one product, not separate parts.
- A CMS is not a side feature — it decides whether the business can actually keep the site alive.
